About Us
Kalam started with something very simple: a mother looking for beautiful Arabic books for her own children.
We wanted Arabic books that our children would love to read, but also books that we would feel proud to place on their shelves — books with beautiful stories, thoughtful words, meaningful values, and illustrations that spark their imagination.
At Kalam, we believe that a book is more than just a source of entertainment. It is a window through which children discover the world, ask questions, learn, and let their imaginations soar. It can become a favourite bedtime story, a familiar voice in a child's early years, or a story they remember long after they have grown.
That is why we choose every book
with care.
We look beyond the cover and pay attention to the story, language, illustrations, print quality, values, and the experience the book creates for a child. We don't aim to have the biggest collection. We aim to have a collection of Arabic books we genuinely believe are worth reading, sharing, and keeping.
As a mother, I know how overwhelming it can feel to choose from countless Arabic books. Kalam was created to make that choice a little easier — by bringing together Arabic books that we would happily choose for our own children.
Our hope is to help more children grow up surrounded by beautiful Arabic stories, to nurture their love for the language, and to give them books that open little doors to imagination, curiosity, and knowledge.
Because sometimes, a book is more than just a book. It becomes part of a childhood.
